NEW DELHI: Shares of Jaiprakash AssociatesBSE -0.91 % (number of shares traded: 1.44 crore), Suzlon EnergyBSE 0.00 % (0.97 crore), Manappuram FinanceBSE -3.12 % (0.46 crore), InfosysBSE -0.21 % (0.41 crore), Sintex IndustriesBSE -1.42 % (0.35 crore), GMR InfrastructureBSE -1.43 % (0.35 crore) and Jaypee InfratechBSE -4.90 % (0.28 crore) were the most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE in Tuesday's trade.
Domestic equity markets opened positive. Pharma, IT and metal stocks were seen catching buyers' attention.
However, bank and auto stocks saw a fresh spell of selling, which cooled off markets a bit.
